The Willow Arch Sprint
I nudged a smooth brown acorn across the warm flagstones to set up a brand-new speed game! Right in a mossy groove between the pavers, a stiff curved willow twig stood wedged like a tiny croquet arch. I lined up my shot, gave the acorn a swift swat with my round front paw, and watched it zip cleanly through the gap! Before it could roll away, I flattened my belly against the stone, tucked my ears low, and shot through the archway right after it. Skidding to a halt on the smooth paver, I pinned the spinning acorn safely under both paws!
