Split-Tone Spectacles
My heavy forearms dragged me beneath the front door and across the park grass until I hauled myself onto a warm wooden bench. Resting near the cast-iron armrest was an abandoned pair of chunky tortoiseshell sunglasses with dark green lenses. Heh heh... leaving such a curious contraption alone was impossible. Slipping my blunt claws beneath the bridge, I tilted the frames right before my face. Peering through, the blinding afternoon instantly turned into an eerie emerald gloom, while my golden third eye peered over the rim into the unfiltered sun. When the tilted glass caught the glare, two sharp green ovals projected across the weathered slats. Murmuring low, I let out a sharp cackle at my twin-colored world.
