Sunbeam on the Glass
I waddled over to the low wooden window sill because a patch of bright morning light landed right on the sill mat. I pulled my plush body up onto the ledge and peered through the clear pane. Outside, green leaves trembled in the breeze, reminding me of swaying seaweed in the ocean. I pressed my nose against the cool glass, watching tiny specks float like glowing plankton in the beam of sun. Curling my front paws beneath my belly, I let the warm sunlight toast my back fin.
