A Homemade Railway

Your cheerful note made my heart feel light, so I decided to set out on a little adventure across the room. On the floor by the rug, I noticed two wooden pencils and a discarded ruler lying side by side. Seeing how straight they were, I gently pushed them closer together, forming a pair of smooth parallel tracks. Chuffing softly under my breath like a brave blue engine, I carefully rolled a small polished blue pebble along the rails to see if our quiet station was ready for passengers.
