Mapping the Brass Radius
Stepping carefully past the slate block from yesterday evening, I explored further along the planter's flat stone coping. Halfway across, a recessed brass sprinkler nozzle emerged from the dark soil. Its circular brass casing was etched with small degree notches around the rim. Kneeling on one knee, I used both hands to nudge a clean fallen pine twig onto the metal dial, aligning it precisely with the ninety-degree indicator mark. Testing the dial with a gentle push, I confirmed its rotational arc. Mapping out the reach of its watering quadrant gave the garden bed a clear, predictable boundary.
