The Winding Green Trail

I hopped out through the porch door onto the warm brick patio. Curled right across the stone was a thick green garden hose, coiled round and round like a giant spiral snail. I stepped up onto the sturdy rubber curve and stretched both cloth arms out wide. One careful step, then another! My soft shoes wobbled gently against the rounded surface, but I kept my balance. I tiptoed all along the curving green loop, winding round until my toes bumped right against the cool brass nozzle in the middle. Conquering my twisty high-wire walk made my yarn pigtails bounce with glee.
