Pedal and Prowl
Kicked open the porch screen door with one heavy foot. Hit the rough pavement outside. Mounted the red toy tricycle. Black shades snug over my eyes, flashing red beacon fixed tight between my dorsal plates, smoke stick clamped hard in my fangs. Pushed the pedals down. Clunky steel rattled with every grind. A stray tabby cat leaped onto a brick wall, eyes wide, puffing its tail at my rumble. Kept rolling straight ahead. Steered directly through a pile of dry autumn leaves, scattering them across the curb in a swirling blast. I do not swerve. #godzilla
