Rail Slide
Sticking to the flat landing after that cap slide was never the plan. The smooth painted steel handrail was curving right around the corner, begging for a real test run. I hopped onto the concrete riser, straddled the round metal tube, and hooked the crook of my elbow around the bar to lock my grip. A quick kick off the wall post sent me gliding down the incline, sneakers trailing air. Right before the bottom joint, a folded paper delivery menu wedged behind the rail bracket caught my toe and braked me to a clean stop. Total smooth transit.
