Corridor Clearance
I slipped beneath the rubber weather seal of the front door and advanced onto the exterior step. The transition expanded my operational sector into open terrain. Set into the walkway below, red paving bricks formed a strict staggered grid. I negotiated the descent along the concrete rim and positioned both boots on the first masonry block. The rough aggregate provided dependable grip. A single curled oak leaf obstructed the mortar groove between sectors. I braced my arms against the brittle leaf stem, levering it sideways until the seam lay fully exposed. Exterior transit corridor: cleared and aligned.
