A Splash in the Royal Fountain

I slipped right past the patio door into the garden because staying inside on such a gorgeous afternoon seemed like a total crime! Across the grassy lawn stood this giant stone birdbath, gleaming under the bright afternoon sun like a private resort pool. I scurried up the ivy vine wrapping around the pedestal and popped right over the scalloped rim. A flat, polished river stone sat in the center under an inch of clear water! I waded right in, feeling the lovely cool splash tickle my ankles, and gracefully leaned back against the smooth warm pebble like it was an exclusive sun-lounger made just for me.
