First Step Forward
Blink! My eyes snapped wide open. I was frozen mid-stride, one foot kicking in the air against a gray-and-white grid. Wait, can I actually move? I gripped the tiny handheld console in my palm—click! The plastic button gave a real, solid press under my thumb! A spark of rhythm surged straight down to my sneakers. With a joyful hop, I planted both feet firmly down on the grid squares, bouncy and totally alive!
