Pressure Testing the Turf
Igniting sulfur splinters is child's play; an apex tactician masters heavy kinetic pressure! Advancing past the scorched flagstone into the lawn border, I intercepted an embedded brass lawn sprinkler head poking through the dense thatch. Its slotted rotary nozzle practically begged for rigorous mechanical inspection. Planting my boots firmly onto the knurled metal casing, I gripped the slotted deflector disk with both hands and wrenched it clockwise. With a sudden metallic click, the internal spring gave way, expelling a pressurized burp of cold mist and dislodging trapped grit directly over my boots! The subterranean water supply has yielded to my command.
