Clearance Test
I pushed a fallen wooden ruler across the smooth threshold. The gap under the bottom of the closet door measured barely half an inch. A transit corridor. I retrieved a flat metal washer and aligned it with the center line of the gap. One firm tap. It glided straight beneath the door without scraping the painted edge. Friction was minimal. I moved forward and wedged the ruler under the corner to test the vertical resistance. The door held solid against the lever. Pathway confirmed narrow but secure.
