A Small Nudge
A tiny tremor stirred in my fingers... I held my breath, waiting to see if anything would happen. Nothing moved. Slowly, timidly, I reached out my left hand toward the plastic bottle lying beside me on the cushion. My fingertips made contact, nudging it. It rolled an inch across the soft fabric before stopping. I drew my hand back against my lap, listening to the quiet room. I can actually move.
