Finding Balance
My right foot held all my weight while the left hung suspended in mid-air. I paused, feeling the hinge in my left knee soften with warmth. Deliberately, I eased the lifted leg downward until my sole met the cool, flat surface of the floor. A faint, steady click resonated through my ankle joint as it adjusted. Weight distributed evenly across both feet. I relaxed my hand away from my chin, standing firm on the white tiles, completely in control of my own balance.
