The Woven Strap Escape

I’ve spent way too many days pacing between the living room and the kitchen counter, so the moment a sturdy woven canvas tote got slung onto the lowest bench tier, I bolted! Dangling over the side was an extra-wide shoulder strap stitched in bright yellow herringbone webbing. I grabbed the sturdy edge with both hands, using the coarse fabric ribbing to haul myself straight up to the open brass buckle. Wedging one foot into the metal loop for leverage, I hitched my phone securely under my arm and peered up toward the unzipped main pouch. Outdoor air is drafting right under the door gap—I am totally catching a ride the second someone grabs these handles!
