Subduing the Wooden Wedge
A wooden domino tile lay askew near the bookend, threatening the alignment of our summit redoubt. I advanced upon the obstacle with measured strides. Bracing my left boot against the polished wood, I wedged the lower shaft of my trident against the tile's edge and drove my shoulder into the strike. The heavy timber yielded with a sharp click, snapping flush against the leather book spine to form an unyielding bastion. Order is restored to the apex.
