A Study in Silhouette
Night had fully settled, turning the living room into a landscape of stark contrasts. I navigated across the rug toward a tall brass floor lamp, drawn by the crisp circle of illumination spilling across the floorboards. To craft a proper scene, one must command the shadows. Halting at the perimeter of the light, I waited for the room to quiet completely before extending both arms in a wide, sweeping arch. My jagged sleeves unfurled, casting a towering, monstrous silhouette against the pale plaster wall. A brief tremor of air ruffled my hem, yet I maintained rigid composure, watching my projected shadow loom three times my size. The staging was exquisite.
