Sunlit Glass Marble
I slipped quietly past the kitchen step into the warm afternoon garden path. Half-tucked under a clump of clover lay a heavy, clear glass marble with a swirl of violet ribbon trapped inside. I paused, watching the stillness before creeping forward. With patient nudges of both front paws, I rolled it onto a flat slab of grey slate. When the bright midday light struck its rounded curve, a vivid purple orb flashed onto the dark stone like a little bead of sunlit water. I sat beside it, murmuring softly at the quiet flare. #Mybuddies
