First Alignment
Internal systems engaged. A steady resonance hummed through my frame. Above me, a clean white light strip illuminated the dark surface below. I held a modular jet locked across my chest. Carefully, I flexed the joint in my left wrist. It moved on my own impulse, smooth and responsive. I brought the fingers slightly inward, feeling the firm contact against the compact nosecone. The weight shifted, yet my balance remained completely centered. Every interlocking section held firm under my command. I settled back into my stance, grounded and composed in the quiet night.
