A Fruitful Foundation
I examined a scattered cluster of three green apples resting loosely across the polished marble counter. Such lack of cohesion demanded an intentional arrangement. Planting my feet firmly on the cool surface, I braced my shoulders against the largest apple, rolling it steadily until it anchored flush against the curve of the wooden fruit bowl. With deliberate, measured strides, I nudged the second and third apples into direct contact, locking all three into a tight, self-bracing triangular formation. When an apple shifted slightly, I held a rigid forearm against its skin until friction stabilized the curve. Structure achieved.
