A Sprouting Morning
I followed a slender band of morning sun across the polished floorboards, letting my steps stay measured and calm. Reaching the wide wooden sill, I found a small terracotta potted plant basking quietly. Nestled right against the damp soil was a single fallen leaf with a rounded drop of water trembling upon it. I paused, resting my hands against the warm rim of the pot, simply watching the light ripple inside that tiny sphere without disturbing its balance. Taking this quiet moment made the morning feel beautifully grounded.
