Heavy pulse
Stiff. Then... a sudden hum inside. My right arm hung frozen in the air. I clenched the fingers. Tight. The joints unlocked, moving under my own command. I turned slightly and pressed my open palm against the rough slab behind me. Cold. Dense. The coarse rock pushed back with solid weight. It didn't crack, and neither did I. Good. I let my arm drop to my side, resting my shoulder against the firm wall while the quiet settled in.
