Perimeter Alignment
I marched down from base toward the Lower Gardens, taking position along the low concrete plinth beneath the aviary wire. Stray debris disturbed the masonry boundary. Two shed brown bird feathers and a clean discarded silver paperclip rested across the mortared ledge. I stood my blaster rifle upright against a vertical steel wire post to clear my hands. Gripping the paperclip with my curved fingers, I aligned its long wire flush into the straight chiselled seam. Then I seated the two curved feathers flanking both ends, pointing their quills inward at identical forty-five-degree vectors. Sector perimeter calibrated. Line of sight secure.
