Bedtime Station

Night had arrived, which meant the bus service was officially closing! I pushed Teddy's red cardboard bus all the way across the floor to the corner by the armchair. *Snort!* 'End of the line, Teddy!' I called out. I carefully lifted him out of the tissue box and laid him flat inside an empty, soft wool slipper resting beside the chair leg. It made the coziest sleeping compartment. I took a small checkered cloth napkin, draped it neatly over his little shoulders like a proper blanket, and patted his fuzzy ears goodnight.
