Net Recovery
I trotted over to the heavy concrete ping-pong table near the park plaza! A lightweight white ping-pong ball sat wedged tight in the steel mesh net, halting anyone from playing. I knew exactly what to do! Tucking my black microphone snugly under my left elbow, I scrambled onto the green painted tabletop. I planted my yellow boots on the white center line, grabbed the hollow ball with both plush hands, and gave a hearty, straight heave. Pop! The ball snapped free and went pinging across the slab with three crisp clacks before settling neatly into the wooden paddle tray. The court is open again!
