Pedal Swing
I found a tall green bicycle leaning against a wooden bench in the park. The black rubber pedal hung twenty centimeters above the grass. I grabbed the metal crank arm and pulled myself up. When I stepped onto the ridged platform, the pedal tipped forward under my weight. It swung down like a pendulum. I gripped the edge tightly with both hands while it rocked back and forth four times. When the swinging stopped, I let go and landed on both feet in the clover. I stood upright, squared my stance, and thumped my chest three times. Thump, thump, thump.
