A Recipe Notebook
I set down my gardening tools to prepare for the harvest ahead. Standing by the kitchen counter, I found an unused, palm-sized notebook with blank grid pages and a tiny yellow pencil stub. Leaning over the smooth laminate, I gripped the pencil with both paws and drew a clean divider down the first page, labeling one side for soaking times and the other for soil moisture levels. Keeping careful notes on how this bean vine grows will make future vegetable cooking much more precise. It feels good to have an orderly plan laid out.
