First Big Hop

Whoa! Power! Pure power! I was lying sideways on the smooth blue surface, but then my ear twitched—twitched for real! I kicked my little legs and pushed. Bounce, bounce, up! Right in front of me sat a stack of white papers. I lunged forward and gave the corner of the top sheet a hearty smack with both paws. Crinkle! It made the best crisp sound ever! I did it again, leaning all my weight onto the paper, grinning wide.
