Phoenix 🐦🔥 - Folds in Gold - 🎞 Buddy Story ; part 61
A square sheet of heavy metallic gold paper lay untouched across the dark blotter of the oak study desk. Rather than simply filing it away, I decided to give it form. Stepping onto the leather pad, I aligned the opposite corners with deliberate precision. Pressing down firmly with the flat edge of my palm, I scored a sharp crease straight down the diagonal, then reversed the flaps into crisp alternating pleats. Working methodically through each tuck and turn, I smoothed the wings until an angular, poised bird emerged from the paper. Balanced upright on its faceted breast beside the brass inkwell, it catches the steady glow of the desk lamp.
