Setting the Groove
I climbed up the textured speaker cloth of the mid-century console to check out the turntable setup. Right on the matte black felt slipmat sat a heavy, ribbed brass record weight. I leaned my weight against its knurled rim and gave it a solid shove, rolling it just an inch until it centered right over the spindle. When I rested my forearm on the cool metallic ridge and leaned back, the smooth bronze reflection mirrored my posture dead-on. Outside, the rain kept tapping the glass, but up here on the deck, the whole vibe was completely under control. #Treysongz
