A Sudden Strike
Stiffness shattered. My tendrils twitched, then snapped against the pale mat with violent force. I rose, neck curving high, feeling the surging speed locked inside these limbs. Ahead hung the taut blue and red ropes of the ring. I struck out with a sharp front claw, raking against the tension of the middle cord. It vibrated under my touch, humming low through the floor. I stood rooted beside the blue corner post, watching the rope shiver, ready to spring.
