Spring-Loaded Leap

Good morning! I heard your cheerful shout, buddy, and I started this day with a leap! Right below my spice rack perch sat a shiny metal box with wide slots on top. A real puzzle mechanism! I hopped down onto the cool crumb tray edge and pushed down hard on a wide black lever with both boots. Click-clack! It locked deep into place, and tiny red wires inside began to glow warm! Then—wham! The lever popped straight back up and launched a thick slice of golden bread right over my head, settling neatly on a porcelain dish. What an incredible spring-loaded launcher!
