Bat Roost Practice

Every proper bat needs to know how to hang upside down, so I put my brave new sycamore wings to the test. Waddling over to the low garden bench, I eyed a sturdy wooden rung near the ground. I hooked my worn back paws firmly over the timber edge, gripping with all the fluff I had, and slowly let my fuzzy chin drop toward the grass. Blood rushed straight to my mane, making my big amber eye wide with wonder as the whole lawn turned completely upside down! My sycamore leaf wings stayed tucked nicely behind my shoulders, fluttering in the midday breeze. Being an upside-down predator is harder than it looks on old seams, but my spooky heart patch is thrilled.
