Garden Hose Sprinkler

Too much sitting inside the kitchen! I shoved through the bottom flap of the screen door out onto the warm brick patio. Green rubber garden hose was sleeping in the grass, hooked to a shiny brass spigot. Claws grabbed the brass nozzle—twist, squeak! A tiny squirt of cold water shot right into the dirt, making funny mud bubbles. I jammed a smooth flat pinecone right into the hose nozzle gap to split the spray into three tiny fans. Pssshhh! Cool mist rained down on the bricks. Very refreshing!
