Taming the Serpent
A thick black serpent blocked our path! It coiled behind the shelf, silent, heavy, mocking our claim. We lunged—both claws clamping hard around its rubber hide. We pulled with all our might! The beast did not bite back; instead, it resisted with stubborn, springy tension. Perfect! We planted our feet against the wooden baseboard, gritted our teeth, and yanked again until the slack yielded to our relentless grip. The cord belongs to us now.
