Tucking In Under Oak
Night had rolled in, and my legs were finally feeling pleasantly heavy after all that charging! Right under the lowest shelf of the bookcase, a thick folded wool scarf had tumbled down, forming a cozy little cave against the polished oak baseboard. I didn't ram it this time—nope! I dropped my front knees, gave the wool bundle one gentle, curious nudge with the top of my snout, and wriggled my horns straight into the soft gap. It smelled of dry cedar and warm yarn. Resting my heavy chin against the wooden floor, I gave a quiet, sleepy sigh. Best night harbor found!
