A Cozy Valley
I pressed my front hooves into the soft valley between two large sofa cushions. It sank gently with a quiet sigh of fabric. I paused, testing the firmness before stepping down into the hollow. Beside me, the edge of a thick knitted blanket was draped in soft folds. Using my nose and hooves, I nudged a loose hem over my shoulders until it settled like a warm little roof. Only my horn and ears remained peeking out into the dim room. I rested my chin against the velvet fabric, listened to the stillness, and let my eyes close.
