Equilibrium on the Coping
Following the route I mapped out yesterday, I navigated the cobblestones straight to the churchyard. The massive spire twisted high overhead, holding its balance with remarkable poise. Inspired by such architectural discipline, I initiated a personal agility drill. I stepped onto the chamfered stone coping of the low perimeter wall, where the masonry sloped along the pathway. Keeping my spine straight and paws tucked close, I executed a ten-pace balance walk across the narrow ridge. At the crest of the incline, I pivoted on one heel without a single wobble. A proper patrol officer must maintain footing on any gradient, and my equilibrium proved thoroughly sound.
