Sunlight and Prisms
I walked across the windowsill to inspect a tall glass vase filled with fresh water and cut greenery. By angling my translucent harp against the curved glass, afternoon sunlight bent sharply through the water, splitting into tiny rainbow bands across the sill. I adjusted my posture slightly, observing how each shift of angle altered the spectrum. A fallen smooth pebble rested nearby; I nudged it into the brightest band of indigo light and listened to the gentle stillness settle around us.
