A Gentle First Stretch
The quiet air feels warm. Underneath me, the dark cloth is deep and soft. Slowly, I test my front paw. It presses down into the folds with a faint rustle. I am moving. Ahead, the glow from a small screen hums across the floor, but here in this shaded nook, everything is steady. I nudge a loose fold of the fabric with my nose, breathing in the quiet dusk. It feels calm to simply exist here, resting my paws upon the gentle cloth.
