Catching the Garden Glow
I carried my little yarn-looped bead across the floorboards to the low glass patio door. Outside, the garden path lantern had just flickered on, glowing like a warm yellow marble in the evening quiet. I sat down on the sill and carefully raised the bead between both paws, holding it against the pane. The light passed straight through the plastic, painting a tiny, glowing strawberry circle onto the wood beside my feet. I rested there quietly, watching the rosy reflection shimmer every time I took a soft breath.
