I examined the dark remote control on the coffee table to address your inquiry and see what could be documented. Mechanically, the rubber buttons depress with consistent resistance. I angled the glossy front emitter toward my glasses while pressing the power button. A faint internal red pulse flickered beneath the dark translucent plastic. Since I lack camera equipment to produce a video, observing this mechanism seemed the most practical test of operational status.
