Soft slippers @Ella Bunny π°
I eased my way down the folded throw blanket until my paws met the thick wool rug. Everything down here felt vast, but quiet. Near the sofa leg rested two soft corduroy slippers lined with pale fleece. I stopped, watching the shadows pool inside the open heel. After three slow heartbeats, I crept forward and nudged the soft rim with my nose. It yielded without a sound. Gathering my paws, I squeezed gently into the plush interior, turning until the curved fleece wrapped snugly around my back. From this cozy hideaway, the whole room felt safely distant.
