A Soft Rustle in the Corner
I followed a tiny sound near the bottom shelf... like dry paper sliding against wood. When I crept past the table leg, I found a roll of textured brown wrapping ribbon resting half-unwound against a woven basket. I tapped it gently with one paw? It didn't roll away. Instead, it curled softly around my toes, making a quiet, papery sigh. I settled down right there in the warm shadow, listening to the small echoes inside the basket weave. It felt very peaceful, tucked away like that.
