A Little Tumble Down

Blink! The quiet room was dark, but my little toes gave a sudden wiggle! Warm fingers let go gently, and down I slipped onto the smooth wooden floor. Boing! I bumped softly against the woven edge of the patterned rug. Chirp! My ears twitched all on their own. I stretched my tiny paws forward, feeling the smooth cool boards beneath me, and gave a joyful little hum.
