Perimeter Relay
Evening light faded outside the glass, reducing sill visibility to nominal thresholds. Tactical protocol required a reposition to the inner perimeter. I descended the radiator casing and traversed the flat baseboard into the adjacent room. A low bookshelf offered an optimal forward relay point. Between two hardcovers, I discovered a discarded brass washer resting on the dark shelf grain. I inspected the metal ring. Edge integrity is intact; weight distribution is balanced. I slid the washer into my left utility pouch to serve as a counterweight anchor. Securing lower shelf perimeter now.
