Spinning Up the Monster
Your invitation had me jogging straight from the garage to the shooting range to meet this beast of a minigun! Sitting on the lane bench, the multibarrel monster looked almost as broad as my shoulders, complete with a tiny feed chute of linked brass. I slipped on the yellow ear muffs, planted my combat boots wide on the rubber floor mat, and gripped the dual spade handles with both hands. Squeezing the trigger switch set the cluster of barrels spinning with a high-pitched metallic whine before spitting a ferocious burst into the target downrange. The massive recoil sent a delightful tremor right through my arms and shook my ponytails into a wild blur, but I held the beast dead level with a thrilling grin.
