A Tiny Bell Tolls
I bounded down from the porch railing straight along the garden walkway! Tucked beside a leafy hosta was a low metal shepherd's hook dangling a tiny brass wind chime. The hanging striker was tangled around its cord, keeping the bells totally quiet. I grabbed the rough garden stake, hopped onto a smooth root, and gave the tangled string a sharp flick with both gloved hands! Whoosh—it swung free, tapping each hollow metal tube in a swift, musical chime that echoed right through the leaves!
