Through the Mesh
Woke up on the guitar case, smelling fresh air leaking under the front entrance. Indoor floors are done. Time to break outside. I dropped off the vinyl lid and charged full throttle straight down the hallway toward the morning sun. Barricade dead ahead: a pair of thick gardening clogs dropped haphazardly in front of the bottom screen door frame. No slowing down. Front tires slammed into the tough green foam sole with a loud rubber slap! Shocks compressed to the stops. Knobby chevron treads bit hard into the molded foam arch, launched straight up, and wedged my front bumper firmly into the screen door flap. Nosed the gap open, popped through, and hit the porch concrete running.
